In 1989, Filippo Maglione founded Cheplero. The office was located on the ground floor of Palazzo Salotto, in Piazza degli Eremitani, behind the apse of the Eremintani Church, famous for the preservation of what remains of magnificent frescoes by Mantegna, which were destroyed at the end of the Second World War. In 1992, he moved his troops and equipment to via Rudena, on the second floor of Palazzo Testa, formerly Hotel Riviera, a short walk from the Basilica del Santo. In the mid-nineties of the last century, Cheplero changed names, becoming KLP and moving to its present location in Via Dante, the ancient Roman decumanus. In 2006, KLP became Helvetika.
